A vast number of customized projects have been implemented worldwide, enabling efficiencies and reducing the cost of return materials management. All have had fast-starts, due to SCA’s adaptability, experience, integration and an existing global alliance of Tier One service providers. In addition, service parts supply chains have been optimized and whenever viable returns have been leveraged to create service parts stock thereby reducing cost of service parts and eliminating waste..
For example, one of the world’s largest networking equipment manufacturer was able to pilot a Rebox Returns Program in less than 90 days, reducing returns by 49% and saving over $9M in Year 1. The remaining return product Bill of Materials were evaluated for viable service parts and disassembled when a need was identified. Another global enterprise executed a worldwide program to manage Excess and Obsolete Returns that saved approximately $500K in six months, and ensured 100% compliance with environmental disposal and reporting. Similarly, returns were disassembled for service parts when appropriate.
